Mayor 
Šuhret Fazlić was born on 17.04.1961. in Bihac where he finished elementary and secondary school of Economics. After High School of Economics, he enrolled at the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo. He graduated from the Political Science Department in 1985 with a grade point average of 9.1 and earned a bachelor's degree in political science.
In the 2006/2007 school year In 2006 he enrolled in the Master's program at the University of Business Engineering and Management in Banja Luka, study program: Human Resources Management, where he did his master's thesis (final thesis) on "Compensations and benefits in public administration and their impact on employee motivation" academic title Master of Business Economics.

As a recipient of a scholarship from the United States Government, Hubert Humphrey Fellowship, he traveled to the United States from 2007 to 2008, where he had the opportunity to gain new management knowledge and experience. As part of his residency in the United States, he spent two months preparing for UC Davis at the University of California, and during his 10-month residency at Michigan State University, successfully completed a one-year professional development program in human resources management. He has also acquired the title of Certified Human Resources Specialist. As part of his residency in the United States, he did internships at the Michigan State Department of the Office of Grait Workplace Development, where he did research in the area of ​​pay models, that is, motivating civil servants, problems of workplace stress and succession in government and small and medium-sized enterprises. So far he has published two scientific papers in the field of management.


His first job was at Unatrans in Bihac in 1985, where he served as director of the Working Community until the end of 1989. From then until the beginning of the war he was engaged in the following jobs: Director of NIRIRO "Krajina" Bihac, Head of the tourist agency "Unatrans" Bihac, Head of the Commercial and Financial Sector at "Autokomerc" Bihac.
He joined the defense-liberation war in April 1992 and left it in February 1996. He was a member of the 5th Corps Command of the BiH Army and the Military Police Battalion. Among other things, in the war he was in charge of negotiating with the enemy, exchanging prisoners of war, and handing over the bodies of the dead in front of the Corps Command.

After the war, he worked as the head of the representative office of Jump Sarajevo Sarajevo in Bihac, director of the Galaxy company Bihac, director of Im-ex Bihac, head of the Labor Inspectorate of Una-Sana Canton, field agent in the World Bank and FBiH Government Employment Project demobilized combatants (PIU PELRP), Head of the OHR Office for the KJA and Canton 10, Advisor to the Mayor of Bihac, Advisor to the Rad-Roads Company Bihac, Advisor to the Prime Minister of the KJA. He also served as the director of the FBiH Privatization Agency.


In the term of 1998 - 2000 he was a Member of the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton, and in the term of 2000 - 2002 he was a Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH. In the 2008 local elections, as well as in 2012, he was elected a municipal councilor in the Bihać Municipal Council.
In the October 2, 2016 local elections, he won the most votes and was elected Mayor of Bihac.He lives in Bihac in a family home. He is married, a father of two.
